On March 10, 2012, I will be among 1,200 runners, walkers, families, strollers, and dogs taking part in the 28th Run for the Seals.
This amazing community fun run and walk in the Marin Headlands, CA, supports the life-saving work of The Marine Mammal Center - a nonprofit rescue and rehabilitation center in Sausalito, CA, that cares for sick, injured and orphaned marine mammals such as seals and sea lions.
Please Help Me Reach My Fundraising Goal!
I’m helping them reach their $60,000 fundraising goal by participating in Run for the Seals and asking for support from my family and friends.
Run for the Seals takes place in spring, and for the hospital that means an average of 200 pup patients and many mouths to feed! These orphaned pups are given a second chance at life thanks to our support and the Center’s care!
- $10 buys one yummy fish milkshake for one pup.
- $25 buys medication for one pup for one day.
- $75 buys meals and medication for one pup for one day.
- $525 buys meals, medication and miracles (!) for one pup for one week.
$60,000 will go a long way to helping provide essential food, care and supplies these fragile patients need to help them get back to their ocean home. Please support me and support the seal and sea lion patients by making a donation today!

About The Marine Mammal Center
The Marine Mammal Center is a rescue and rehabilitation hospital, education and research Center in Sausalito, CA, that cares for sick, injured and orphaned marine mammals like seals and sea lions. Started by three dedicated volunteers in 1975 with bath tubs, kiddie pools and hearts of gold, The Marine Mammal Center has gone on to become the largest rescue and rehabiliation facility of its kind in the world. It covers a rescue range of 600-miles along the California coast and has cared for over 17,000 animals since they began.
The Marine Mammal Center is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization which relies on 80% of its funding from individuals like you. All proceeds from "Run for the Seals" benefits the life-saving work of the Center.
