Head Back to School with Our Brand-New Podcast Featuring Ocean Ambassadors
"In the end we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught." -- Baba Dioum
The Marine Mammal Center is a teaching hospital dedicated to inspiring the next generation of scientists. When students participate in our education programs, they are able to create a ripple effect as they go out into their communities and share what they’ve learned about marine mammals and their ocean environment.
As summer comes to a close, it’s time to head back to school—and for more than a thousand lucky students that means it’s time to dive deep into marine science as part of our Ocean Ambassadors program.
Tailored to meet the unique needs of middle school students, our year-long Ocean Ambassadors program provides curriculum resources and materials, field trips and professional development opportunities for teachers, empowering them to lead the next generation of marine scientists.
Tune into our brand-new podcast to learn more about this immersive marine science education program and go behind the scenes to better understand its growing impact on middle school students.
