Dive into a world of sharks with ocean explorer and documentary photographer, Kip Evans, on Tuesday, October 8, at The Marine Mammal Center in the Marin Headlands, Sausalito.
For more than two decades Kip has been exploring the ocean and guiding conservation efforts through his documentary photography projects. He’s led or participated in over fifty expeditions throughout the world and worked on a number of National Geographic Society projects including the Sustainable Seas Expeditions, where he served as the chief photographer for noted marine biologist Dr. Sylvia Earle. His film and photography work has been featured at festivals around the globe, and in books and magazines such as National Geographic magazine, Patagonia, and Outside, and on TV channels including CBS, CNN, PBS, National Geographic and Discovery.
As an accomplished photographer, filmmaker, and explorer Kip is no stranger to sharks. His footage of these majestic and often misunderstood animals is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat as well as make you appreciate just how marvelous and important these predators are to maintaining a healthy ocean ecosystem.
