On Saturday, September 16, 2017 The Marine Mammal Center will host a beach cleanup at Rodeo Beach on behalf of International Coastal Cleanup Day. Bring gloves, a bucket, and a friend! After the cleanup you are also welcome to join all Marin County volunteers at the Bay Model in Sausalito for a free BBQ from noon to 2pm. The Marine Mammal Center will be closed on September 16th as we celebrate the 1,200+ volunteers who make our work possible.

International Coastal Cleanup Day, organized by the California Coastal Commission, is the largest volunteer event in California, with more than 67,000 volunteers last year. They cleaned up beaches around the state, picking up more than 1,190,000 pounds of trash and recyclables.
